The owner of this Japanese restaurant in Houston faced a significant challenge in finding a local general contractor to take on the bid due to the intricacies of the interior decoration requirements, which included elements such as ceiling hanging decorations, mirrors, liquor shelves, irregular tile, and custom lighting fixtures.
The owner used interior procurement services to bring their vision to life to overcome these challenges. With this approach, each vendor completed the fabrication and tested the installation of their respective components in its factory before shipping them to the job site. Upon arrival, local workers assembled all the pieces according to
the detailed installation manuals provided.
The use of interior procurement services proved to be an effective way to complete a complex design project that would have been difficult to achieve through traditional construction methods. It made it easier to land a complicated design and facilitated franchising the same design intent in other locations, as it did not require highly
skilled labor to complete the installation.
Throughout this work sample, we will explore the interior procurement process and its role in creating a stunning and functional space for this restaurant project. We will also delve into the project’s specific challenges, the benefits of interior procurement, and the successful outcome achieved through this approach.

A complete upgrade of the apartment building’s atrium, corridor, and communal rooms using BUILD2B prefabricates. Our high-quality, custom-made products included cladding, planters, lighting fixtures, murals, carpets, and pre-assembled cabinets, greatly reducing on-site labor and allowing for a faster and more efficient installation process.
